Crawlers – Live From The Hideaway

Stumbled upon these guys’ single ‘Come over (again)’ a few months back and it’s been a while since I’ve been that obsessed with a voice and if you do press play on that video you’ll soon understand why.

But it goes a bit (lot) further than that. I’ve been keeping an eye, or more like an ear on them since then, and all I’ve witnessed so far from this little band from Liverpool is that they have everything they need to ensure a bright musical future.

Enticing melodies, raw lyrics, and fearless vibes. Their growing tight nighted community is also a great gang to hang with – very lively Discord channel if you’re interested – and like the band, they make sure to provide a safe place whoever you are. And dude, I’m old. But still, I’ve never felt like belonging so easily within a group of music fans. I’ve noticed this happening more and more lately, and I have no words strong enough for how good that feels. The kids are alright, alright.

It doesn’t take much, but sometimes it’s everything and that’s where they definitely won me over – on top of the music itself, the quartet is unapologetically themselves, and definitely pushes you to walk that very path alongside them, celebrating differences and where you, and me, and them and everyone else for that matter, are finally just what we all are – human beings.

Their debut album ‘The Mess We Seem To Make’ is out now – and charted at #7 in case you still think I just say a lot of shit – so I urge you to give it a listen for all those reasons but this one in particular…

I’ll just stfu and let the music speak for itself.

Holly, Amy, Harry, Olivia,

Keep going kiddos (again, old) – you’re nothing short of amazing and I absolutely can’t wait to catch you live somewhere. You’re the kind of positive energy my faith in humanity (and old bones) needs.

Thank you.
