Dead Sara on Fire: Self-Titled Album Gets Vinyl Release November 3rd

If there’s one band you can rely on to set your timeline on fire, it’s definitely Dead Sara.

They may have taken that idea a little too literally last night when they released the promotional video for the vinyl debut of their self-titled album, taking us back to that one time they nearly set fire to Sonic Ranch, where the majority of the album was recorded.

Fireworks, roaring flames, panic, chaos – so much chaos – nothing to smile about really, except you won’t resist it because it’s the perfect setting to bask in that insane build-up leading you to none other than the absolute monster of a song that is Weatherman

Ooft. OOFT. More of this, please.

Sorry, Tony. Weeds grow back – great tunes are forever.

Luckily for the worldwide population with a decent taste in music, this self-titled album is full of them. From the gritty, raw, motherfucking rock’n’roll songs like Lemon Scent or Monumental Holiday that will grab you by the guts to the (em)power(ing) ballads like Dear Love and I Said You Were Lucky and the soul-wrenching apotheosis of Sorry for it All (an absolute favourite in this house) led by now familiar vocals like a remedy for the past – this album truly has it all.

(yes that sentence was way too long but I woke up and choose chaos too.)

The fireworks. The fire. The chaos. But also the hose and the salvatory water washing it all away. Let it punch you in the face, because it will definitely also soothe your wounds and tend to those bruises.

And that’s what I love about this album: the fact that it’s so rock core. Heavy, gritty, empowering eargasms all around, but also a whole other world lying in the details – just delicate and smart enough to take it to another level.

And that’s the sound. Ha. A sound definitely meant for the goodness of vinyl grooves. It’s going to sound amazing, and I’m willing to bet my coffee on it – I’ll even pour sugar in it if I’m wrong.

Only one way to find out though – preorder it now
