All editorial text on this site is written by its author and remains their property. Reviews, reports and features may be quoted with a credit and a link; they may not be reproduced in full.

Photographs belong to the people who took them. Every image on this site carries its credit: a named photographer where one is known, the account or press kit it came from where the photographer is not, and no credit at all rather than a guessed one. Nothing here is presented as the work of someone who did not make it.

Album artwork, press photographs and promotional material remain the property of their respective labels, artists and photographers, and appear here for the purpose of review and commentary.

If an image of yours appears here and you want it credited differently or taken down, write to me and it will be handled the same day.

Nothing is collected when you simply read. The site sets no cookie of its own, runs no advertising, and does not profile its readers.

Two small preferences are kept in your own browser, and never sent anywhere: whether you have dismissed the support card, and whether you have already seen a given panel in this tab. Clearing your browser data removes them.

If you write through the contact form, the message and the address you give are used to answer you, and for nothing else.

Some articles embed players and posts from other services. These load from their own servers and may set their own cookies, under their own policies — not under this one.

• YouTube — nothing loads until you click play. The player then opens on youtube-nocookie.com.
• Spotify — the player loads when you scroll to it.
• Instagram, X and TikTok — their script loads shortly before the post reaches your screen. Readers who do not scroll that far never contact them.
• Ko-fi — a plain link. Nothing loads from Ko-fi unless you follow it.

This site sets no cookie of its own. The one thing that can set cookies here, other than the embeds described above, is Google Analytics — and it only runs if you say yes.

You were asked once, at the bottom of the page. Nothing is loaded from Google before that answer, and declining changes nothing else: every part of this site works the same either way.
